John, When you view the 2 antennas from the rear (let's say...) Both center conductors of the feed coax should go in the same direction - either both right or both left. If one antenna is "flipped" and they are identical there will be a phase cancellation. With the looper, you need to rotate the driven element loop in the boom 180 degrees. This is best done by unsoldering the connections (center conductor and and shield and spinning the loop ( loosen the nut first...) then resoldering.. You can do it with a nice hot iron in about 10 seconds if you have done 356,000 of them like i have..

What you want is driven elements that are mirror images of each other.. This is trickier with the K1FO Yagi and you're probably best off mounting them both "rightside up". Running the coax around the boom won't hurt anything - you most likely are doing it at the mast anyway..
