W3SO, FN00sn, had 32 QSOs and 19 grids in 3 1/2 hours of operating. We
only made 4 QSOs between 7 and 8pm. Needless to say, the activity was down.
Thank goodness for the voice keyer! There was more activity last week on
the 222 MHz sprint. There were a lot operators using IC-706 and
IC-706-class rigs with smaller antennas. We didn't work any VEs nor did we
hear anyone working VEs. Our best DX was K4QI, FM06. To the NE the best DX
was K1TR. In this sprint we worked one rover, N3OPM/R in FM19. It was good
to work K3DNE, and we hope his new tower and the antennas are playing well
in preparation for the June contest.
W3SO station details are at <www.qrz.com/w3so> and the QSL manger for W3SO
is W3TEF.
W3SO will be on for the 6m Spring Sprints.
For the Wopsononock Mountaintop Operators,
