Alright, plans are shaping up nicely for our first ever vhf contest. Here they
are:
Rover station KC8HZM will be operated by myself (Marten Beels) and Jeff DeHeer,
(KC8HZQ).
Our expected times and grid squares are roughly as follows:
Saturday, the 13th
(times are approximate)
EN75ed (1800-1900Z)
EN74at (2000-2100Z)
EN64vm (2200-2300Z)
EN63sv (0030 - 0130Z)
EN73eg (0330 - 0430Z)
EN72ew (0500 - 0530Z)
(Sunday is to be determined)
We have 6m and 2m SSB/CW/FM capabilities, plus 70cm FM
We will be monitoring and calling CQ contest on 146.55 FM with a 5/8 vert whip,
146.200 USB, 50.125 USB, and 446.00 FM.
We'll be putting out about 8 watts on 6m, 25 watts 2m SSB, 45 watts 2m FM, and
roughly 5 watts 440 FM. We'll be able to operate while mobile with a 'bent'
dipole on 6m, rotatable dipole on 2m, and small beam on 440 FM (vert pol). At
our designated stops, we will use a 7 element 2m beam elevated about 15 feet.
Hope to work as many of you as we can!
Thanks!
Marten and Jeff
