Jacob,
I have the same amp as you and the book says it is a 7 pin remote connector,
it does look like a 8 but it's not. I would think if you purchase a chassis
7 pin DIN female and 7 pin DIN male connector you could change the existing
connector over to a DIN. Hope this helps, I'm not sure where you can find
this type of plug.
Kyle

Jacob

I assume this is an 8 pin DIN connector [a sort of round connector like the
ones on the back of HF rigs]?

If so go to the RF Connection Web site

http:\\www.therfc.com

and click 8 pin DIN connectors on their front page. BEWARE! There is more
than one kind. Look very carefully at the diagrams on the web site - you can
see a difference and match it up to the plug on the back of the TE Systems.
The 'ICOM' plug is shaped a little like a horseshoe with sides that tend to
drop straight down. The 'Kenwood' version is round.

I would be very hesitant to pull wires out of the TE Systems. THERE IS NO
FACTORY SERVICE ON THESE AMPLIFIERS regardless of what TE Systems claims.
Ask anyone on any reflector. You break something either you fix it or find
someone other than the factory to do it. You could try bending over the
wires, soldering them and shoving them in the correct hole but if they short
they will likely do some damage inside the amplifier - which YOU will have
to fix.

If you have never bought connectors or coax cable from the RFC, you will
enjoy the experience. Tell Joel I sent you.
