Wow, what an uproar! And it continues even though we all knew it was
coming.
I know that I'm in the minority but I actually prefer the expanded results
on-line. What I'd really like to see is a further expansion of the on-line
results
as NE0P describes below AND what W2EV proposed back in May. I've included
Ev's original post on the subject and a link to his proposed expanded
results page.
If I remember correctly his post did not generate much discussion at the
time -
now that it is a hot topic again I hope it generates more discussion.

Subject: Line Score Survey -- Results

Does anybody remember the furor over moving line-scores to the web? At that
time, I thought that we may want to re-examine how line scores are
presented, with the hope that "we the VHFers" could suggest even a greater
amount of useful information could be made available in those listings.
I went about asking the top three scoring stations in each category (as
shown on the New England Weak Signal contest recap page) some additional
questions about their setup for the contest...and I added that information
to their claimed score and band-by-band breakdowns.
I found it interesting that several participants "chose not to share, for
"strategic reasons", their information. That is one LAME argument and have
now said so publicly (see: definition of TROLL). And at least one
participant "couldn't be reached" to be asked to provide the information.
Here's my attempt to define "cool information" to have, if anyone would be
interested in lobying the 'powers that be' to expand on the Cabrillo format
so that it could capture this additional data.
Have fun with it...I did.
Ev, W2EV
BY THE WAY...it's a PDF...
