Today was one of the best Activity Days due to increased participation. The
log here was:
    W4/ON1CFX on 10
    W3IY on 2, 3, and 10
    W3HMS on 2, 3 and 10.
John's tri-band feed is better than the monoband feeds on 2 and 3
GHz, but not as good on 5 GHz.
    KB8VAO on 10 and 24 GHz
    KB8YHF (on KB8VAO's rig on 10 GHz)
I have several observations:
A coordination rig separate from the IF rig is very useful in not losing
the other station when the path is difficult. It is especially useful in
playing back the other station for pointing.
A steady carrier is much easier to peak on than a keyed carrier. I
simply run a clip lead across my key terminals.
IF rigs may jump frequency when changing mode. In the FM mode, mine
goes to the closest 5 kHz. Check your frequency when changing modes.
Next time I should have a full 2 watts on 5 GHz. BCNU on the lower
bands Monday evening.
    73,
    Bernie, W4SW
