[VHFcontesting] MFJ-9406x repair question

I have a accidentally reversed the polarity on the power wires and now it 
doesn't work. Looked inside and only found one trace burnt, but all 
surrounding parts look OK.

I have tried to get a reply by phone & email from MFJ for a month with no 
responce. So I was wondering if anyone else had done this and what the fix 
for it is.

Would like to use the radio as a monitoring unit and/or as a mobile for 
non-contesting activity in my truck.
