I havent seen any TIC controllers that are "digital"  and I second the motion
to use GH controllers.   They did briefly release an "advanced" controller
called an EC1 that was  disaster waiting to happen, but still had the old
faceplate and cheap meter movement.  I have a few of the old controllers
around, but most have died due to minor lightning hits and such along the way.
The biggest problem with all of them is that they had no protection against a
runaway when a pot failed etc. The GH controller does have some logic in it to
attempt to catch it before it rips your cables off antennas as I recall.
Depending on what happens, if you are lucky the motor will stall or slip before
any serious destruction occurs.

I recently sold seven TIC ring rotators that I owned for 30-40 years.  All
came with the digital controller shown in your photo where you set the
direction and press start.  I know at least some of my manuals showed the
controller that your manual has a photo of but I have never seen a
controller that looked like that.  It really shouldn't matter as long as it
supplies 24v for the motor and indicates the direction from the 500 ohm
potentiometer.

FWIW, I quit using the TIC controllers 20 years ago and used Green Heron
RT-21's.

My controllers say the model number is 2020.
They look nothing like the 2020 pictured in the manual I can find online.

They do look like a digital readout version of a 2100.

Does anyone know what the deal is here?
I know that reverse engineering anything TIC related requires some mental
gymnastics, but these units look nothing alike!
