Hello
Does anybody know about Innovantennas contact?
I emailed both support@innovantennas.com and sales@innovantennas.com and
now answer
Same here, no answer to repeated e-mails. My question had to do with the
fact that both the booms and elements of my 4-element 6M LFA-Q "quad"
antenna resonate when the wind blows, either direction, with the boom
plane or with the element plane. Obviously, I have to put rope inside
the elements and boom to tame that (as Hygain has one do with the
elements on their VB66DX 6-element 6M yagi). This is kinda curious as
Innovantenna's web page for the LFA-Q shows several people with LFA-Qs
sitting way up high on tall towers. I'd hate to have had to hire a
tower-climber to put the thing up all that way, then find out the booms
and elements bounce around in moderate wind like Twiggy doing the shimmy
way back in Laugh-In shows 8-P
The instructions also did not state how far to insert the ends of the
elements. I was also furnished only half the required hardware to
assemble the two booms of my "quad" and I wanted to let them know about
that shortcoming; the manual is also incorrect on that count. I had to
buy hardware from my hardware store and fortunately, they had metric
bolts which are required because the boom is tapped for metric bolts.
Since Innovantenna products are European, they have an obscession with
metric hardware 8-). But Innovantenna seems to be deaf. I didn't try DXE
since they don't make the antlers, just market them.
As a positive aside, I'm more than happy with the performance of the LFA-Q.
