While reading W8JI's article on greases, I was getting disappointed in
my choice of using Noalox for my old rebuilt yagis, until I got down to
the next to the last paragraph, where he wrote:
"I use Noalox on clamped aluminum slip joints in antennas because it is
generally less expensive than silicone dielectric greases and it appears
to last longer."
Ahha, I feel redeemed again 8-)

The problem with noalox/penetrox..... it dries out eventually.... after just a
few years. W8JI uses dielectric grease where ele sections join together...and
also
boom splices.
That's not quite what he said in that next-to-last paragraph, Jim 8-)
He said the only reason to use penetrox / noalox is because they are much
less expensive.
Dunno how long Dielectric grease, like the Penetrox brand, would last.
I would wonder about that, too, if I was building to keep all this
schtuff up in the air for a couple dozen years. However, I'll be real
surprised if I make it to the next solar maximum in about 2035 - 36 8-D
