text/plain; charset="us-ascii" I did not know that OptiBeam is under new
ownership. I have been verypleased with their 40m beams and I found DF2BO to
be a pleasure to discussantenna design
with.https://www.optibeam.net/index.php?article_id=1&clang=1 I am also seeing
posts that SteppIR is ceasing production on consumerantennas and accessories
which is bad news for all of the SteppIR
lovers:https://www.dxzone.com/steppir-to-cease-consumer-antenna-production-by-august-2025/

text/plain; charset="UTF-8" I saw no responses and was hoping to learn
something about the subject.I bought a bearing from Tashjian and it is a 2-hole
flange, all steel.Ready to rust from the get go and needed some paint to try to
slow it down.I lost a seal in mine and not sure why it started to come out but
it didduring a 'coax around the mast' event I suffered due to a rotor
shaftsnapping off. I iam just using it until I can find a way to easily
replaceit, which is not a likely scenario. My bearing is 2.5 years young in a
salty coastal location.Al N6TA On Sat, May 24, 2025 at 9:12?AM

charset=UTF-8; format=flowed Unless your vertical load is more that your
rotator can handle, there is no advantage to a "thrust bearing" over a simple
collar. The collar has the advantage that it can be split, and in most cases
installed with no? gymnastics involved; just a little ingenuity. Might need to
drill a few new holes in your top plate. -Steve K8LX On 05/23/25 9:18 PM, John
