I'd suggest looking at crane rental companies in the area - they usually will
rent the crane with an operator. A big use in SoCal is moving HVAC stuff on
and off the roof of a building. Another popular use is taking a swimming pool
insert and putting it in the back yard.
A casual google turns up "The Crane Guys" and "Mr. Crane" and a bunch of
others.
The rental companies will know what kind of crane you need to reach over the
house (which is what I assume you need). They'll also have riggers if you need
them.
If you're brave, you can rent the crane and operate it yourself. Rabbit fast,
Turtle slow, on all the controls. Make sure you know where the brake release
is, and what the limits on boom angle for your load are.
If I had to guess, I'd say this is a $1000 kind of job. (the crane is a few
hundred an hour, probably)

Anyone know of crane operator in the San Gabriel Valley CA area that could pull
