Jim: sesrch for ve6wz trans-impedance preamplifier on youtube.  This preamp is 
the follow-on preamp to the original w1fv preamp used in his 9 element circular 
array.  I don't know who else is producing something similar for short vertical 
element use.  Hi-z/dxengineering used to be a supplier, but they're now iffy.
