I've got a new-to-me 472 with the 750 pull up/down accessory from an
estate. Motor connected to the box, but nothing else. Tower was
unextended/not working for unknown reasons for several years.
Apparently it had the external (remote) control box ("control from house")
originally; I doubt I have it, but pictures indicate it controls whether
raise/lower control is Local or Remote.
I'd like to check out the controls with reasonable confidence before I
apply power. And know how to jumper around for Local Control only, without
the Remote Box.
*Does anybody have an electrical schematic that they'd be willing to make
available? Or other suggestions?*
On the rest of the tower, all I've done so far is pour a huge foundation,
mount the tilt base, put the tower on the base in the horizontal position,
identify that the tower was probably recabled at some time with 3/16" galv
wire rope (bottom cable was pretty rusty and less flexible; all 3/16" will
be replaced with 1/4"), and identified a missing sheave (the one at the
base of the bottom section, #7, which is used for pull-down of the top,
#4), and confirmed the rest of the sheaves are not frozen up.
So I have a rotator to check, and the motor and control circuitry, and
replace a bunch of cable, in addition to having some confidence that the
control box is ok and I know how to address a missing remote control box.
Thanks in advance!
