I didn't understand the 18" eye-bolt either. Ø4" is pretty small for an
elevated guy post. Instead of the eyebolts I would just weld a plate with
holes on to the side of the tubular post.
I needed elevated guys at my P40A station and I purchased structural beam
with the top cut on an angle. The Aruba steel company even put holes in the
beam's web so it was easy to connect turnbuckles to it.
