Tnx for all the feedback I got on this subject.Sri it is taking so long to
respond. I am not in the shack often these days. And I'm a month behind with
emails.
The majority of input steered me to mounting a K9YC type choke/balun from the
boom using some form of insulating plate to keep the core away from the boom.
Because of my limited time I bought from DX Engineering what I needed -
MC20-1-1 balun and MC20K-BRKT bracket.Once the weather gets nicer and I can
tilt over the tower will change chokes. At that time will also takw apart he
Prosistel rotor as the input says I need to replace the dowel pin on the motor
shaft.73,N2TK, Tony

Subject: Balun for C3

I have been following the thread on the W2DU baluns. I have been using the
original Force12 balun (W2DU style balun). The leads corroded so need to
replace. I have built toroid type baluns using K9YC's information. My question,
how are folks mounting toroid style baluns on the C3?  Hanging it below the
feedpoint?TnxN2TK, Tony
