I have never used the Wireman bead balun but I have used Teflon coax outdoors and I find it very difficult to waterproof. For some reason nothing sticks to it:) Personally I would use something with larger Ferrites inside a NEMA enclosure with terminals on one end and an SO-239 on the other.
