 Same concern ... so at my previous QTH I used the non-conductor cable, 
Phillystran, to guy my tower.  When I moved and took it all down 22-years 
later, the cables were still taut and seemed just as plyable as the day I 
installed them.

I would hate to have all the guy wire just being used to hold up the towers
I think some of it could be used as a radiator.
