Yep, agree. We used to call RG-8x "mini-8". It was 50-ohm coax with
the outside jacket diameter about the same size as 75 ohm TV coax
(RG-59?), so we used adapters for RG-59 instead of RG-58 adapters for
the PL-259 connectors.
