Fifteen years ago, I had attached a tower to threaded steel studs
protruding from the tower's concrete base. Now, I need to replace the tower.
Even though I used highly recommended "PB Blaster", it was almost impossible
to loosen the nuts from the studs. Finally, I was able to open them, but not
without thoughts of a nightmare scenario where the studs might have been
broken, etc.. I would like to be sure that this situation will never happen
again. I'm convinced that I should have applied something to protect the
hardware when the tower was first installed. I have several ideas, but this
is something I don't care to experiment with for obvious reasons. I'm
looking for something that has actually been done and worked. Any actual
time proven (!) suggestions would be appreciated.
