Subject: Re: [TowerTalk] Dipole length vs diameter -- a theory question The ARRL Handbook, 1963 10th addition page 364, under the section "Half-Wave Dipoles shows a graph for finding "k" which is the ratio of length of antenna conductor to diameter of the conductor. The graph also shows the effect of conductor diameter to feed point impedance at resonance. I'm sure thus does not answer your question regarding the length of a 6 meter halo but may be helpful to others. The pages starting at page 34 makes very interesting reading and may be thought of as "old school" but the basics don't change. Good luck with your project.
