Probably, the 900 MHz comes from "that's the range of the oscillator"
I don't know if the software is susceptible to upgrade (and if someone
will actually do that) - so the UI could get cleaned up in time.
For HF, things like sweeping a cable to find faults, tuning antennas, etc.
For those kind of applications one doesn't need milliBel (0.01 dB)
accuracy, nor huge dynamic range
