The linear loading wire does not act as a truss. The element tube is triple

If the loading wire is also an element truss I would be concerned about
using such soft aluminum.

On my C-4XL, I use 0.0808" diameter 1100 aluminum wire. It fits the holes in
the clamps nicely.
I bought a 1 lb spool from McMaster-Carr for about $20 (pn 8904K85).
