Thanks to all who responded, some on the reflector and some direct. I was 
mixing up impedance matching with phasing. I was thinking about 1 trip around 
the Smith Chart repeating the impedance, but wasn't thinking correctly about 
phasing.
And thanks for explaining the benefit of using 1/4 wavelength lines.

Quarter wavelength lines have the magical property that the output current is 
equal to the input voltage divided by the line Zo.  So with multiple inputs 
tied 
together, and obviously having the same voltage, the output currents will be 
equal.
