Could be broken springs(I believe there are a total of 4) , stuck brake
wedge, broken brake wedge, or a broken brake pin. I feel that they are
pretty easy to service and have found that parts are readily available from
several sources.
Hope this info is helpful. Good luck.

Subject: [TowerTalk] Ham III rotor brake failure
Getting ready to take down my beam and rotor. The brake does not work. I
hear it click when it is energized on the tower. Would that mean a spring
might be broken ? Rotates fine - wind blows it whatever way it wants to.
