-Sounds like a lot of trouble. I used to maintain a BC station that shunt fed an old FM tower. The feed was just a 10ga wire that went from a doghouse up about 150 ft and connected to the tower, which was a little taller than that, maybe 200'. It worked fine and had reasonable coverage.
