A513 is another and perhaps more common spec for 1026 and 1020 DOM
tube. Many wall thicknesses and diameters are made.

ACE galvanizing in South Seattle nicely regalvanized some 3" x 025" for me.

I purchased a 3" mast locally pretty inexpensively with no shipping costs

and then brought this tube to a local galvanizer for coating.

I’m posting this to both the TT and NCCC reflectors for John, AI6LY, whom I
helped get a tower permit. He lives in Scotts Valley, CA (near Santa
Cruz) and
needs some advice on a mast. He asks:
“Andy, please do forward to the reflector. Here's what I need:
16 to 20 feet
2" OD x 0.25 wall
yield strength > 50ksi
galvanized preferred
will pick up within a few hours' drive
I'm going to upgrade the antenna (putting a 2 el 40M above the EX-14). Need a
high strength mast, 2" OD x .25 wall. Wondered where you got yours or if you
had suggestions (other than DX Engineering etc.)”
Please reply directly to John.
Thanks and 73, Andy AE6Y
