Hi all,
The “Edge Mounted Scale Light” (I don’t know what else to call it) in my Yaesu
G-800S control box has failed. It is essential the power light.
For the time being, I have jerry-rigged a set of LEDs to replace it, but they
are not bright enough.
The part is shown as PL1 on the schematic I have. It is #125 on the exploded
diagram, which is listed as Q1000069, “Axial Lamp” on the parts list for the
exploded diagram. It is an incandescent lamp, about 5/32” in diameter and
about 1/2” long with axial leads, and functions in an AC circuit of about 11 V
rms.
Does anyone know what this component really is? I would like to purchase a
couple if possible.
