Gentlemen and Ladies,
In the magazine "High Frequency Electronics" April 2017 issue, page 22 is an
article by Hans Van Bruggen (PA3AZA) "Breaking the Monopo;y on Base-Fed Short
Monopoles: Meet the CMMA".
<http://highfrequencyelectronics.com/index.php?option=com_flippingbook&view=book&id=155:2017-04-april&catid=14:2017-high-frequency-electronics&Itemid=149>
. I read the article and found it intriguing. The article describes how to
build a very short vertical antenna still with a 50 ohms input. Knowing that it
was presented in the April issue rises some concern although the article is
very long to be an April fools joke, 6 pages.
Has anyone else read this article and any thoughts or tests? It would be
interesting to be able to build a vertical only 1/12th high for 160 meter. It
would be a ~12 foot high structure.
73 de,
Hans - N2JFS
