I had a half sloper on 160 that worked very well. It's about the same
length as the half wave sloper on 75. Close enough that shorted out, the
75 could be end fed tuned on 160 as a half sloper.
That'd make for some interesting switching.

Rod's idea is by far the best. Slopers are weird creatures. While you can
broadband antennas by making the elements with a large diameter (as in a
cage)
the mechanical complexity isn't worth it. If they absolutely positively
must be
resonant, well...
