Dave:
Be sure to read "Modeling the W6NL 40m Moxon" (April 2012) by Greg Ordy, W8WWV.
It's available as the first item here
http://www.k3lr.com/engineering/moxon/
along with a few other useful documents. If you contact Greg directly I'm sure
he would be happy to share his EZNEC format (.ez) model file. Your Antenna
Model (AM) program can read that .ez file. If desired you can then save it in
AM (.def) format.
The AM program uses the MiniNEC engine. It can handle the stepped diameter
elements just fine, as can the NEC-4 engine. It's only the NEC-2 engine that
has trouble with this antenna. Greg's document has a nice discussion of that
issue.
The AM program runs just fine under Win7 64 bit. No need to jump through any
"compatibility mode" hoops.
Dan, AC6LA
