Some tower hauling might be done in the dark where a flag might not be
seen. Magnetically attached trailer lights can be used on the
overhanging portion of a tower. They come with a long cable and a plug
to fit a common connector on vehicles set up for towing. Inexpensive
adapters are available to convert from round styles to rectangular
style connectors or vice versa if needed. These provide tail lights,
brake lights, and turn signals. I bought mine in the 80's and they are
still working just fine. Same thing still available. Aluminum tower?
Duct tape or bailing wire.

The tower can go over the tongue a bit and stick out the back some if flagged (5' ? check the CA DMV regs). Getting it to and on the trailer depends entirely on where it is, ground conditions, etc. Grant KZ1W On 3/30/2017 7:02 AM, Joe Partlow wrote:So I spotted a listing on Craig's List for a 41 foot US Tower. https://bakersfield.craigslist.org/for/6036930477.html I think it's a TM-541SS. Does any have a suggestion on the best way to move it to my QTH. It's on the ground in Lake Isabella, CA and my QTH is Camarillo, CA, about 150 miles._______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ TowerTalk mailing list TowerTalk@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/towertalk _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ TowerTalk mailing list TowerTalk@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/towertalk _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ TowerTalk mailing list TowerTalk@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/towertalk |
