It rarely hurts to try, but there is the school of thought, "if it
works, don't fix it"
I have a 160 half sloper fed at the top. The coax center conductor goes
directly yo the top end of the ant.
The question is really, what do you want to try?

I put up a 80 meter sloper for my son, it slopes 45 degrees toward 55 degree
compass heading. It is fed at the base with 6 60 foot radials and worked well.
Would it be better to feed it at the top? Can I add a 40 meter wire as well?
