Re anti climb requirements: they might be in you local/state codes or
specified in a conditional use permit. I don't think the UBC/IBC
requires them. My EMA tower CUP required them or a fence. So I used
painted plywood (get 3 from a 4x8 sheet for R25) and J-bolts to hold
them on at three heights.
btw I have two 10' sections of Rohn 65 in good shape with probably 16ga
steel anti climb panels welded on, all hot dip galvanized, in good
condition. So this previously commercial tower had them. Free if you
pick them up in WWA. QRZ address is correct.

Where is the (real) place to find out the requirements for an anti-climb device?

Subject: Re: [TowerTalk] Advice on tower restrictions possible new
I have climbed a lot of ham towers and seen many more. I can't ever recall
seeing an anti-climb device being used. Texas, Michigan, all the New
England States.
Is it really that common? Funny that I have never seen one.
Relative to legal intimidation and municipalities. One of the most
effective tools is to get educated in the background, but represent
yourself. The opposing side ringing up the costs vs the homeowner who has
nothing but time and no costs to persist is one of the most valuable tools
in the system. Add to that legal standing and federal pre-emption rights
and it would seem that an acceptable deal should be able to be accomplished
if there are no screaming close neighbors.
I think space separation is the best defense in ham tower situations.
