Has anyone built their own coil for this antenna? With a lousy radial
field you don't need a match. I installed a few more radials and now
the swr has jumped and the bandwidth is tiny on this antenna.
DXE sells a matching coil that used 16 turns on 1.5 to 2 inch tube. I have a bunch of solid copper ground wire to build my own. I was just curious about how many turns people needed if anyone had tried this.
