If you are ainal about it you should go out to the antennas with a analyser and
some inductors and capacitor plus something to make the connection of these
components to the antennas, and spend some time (maybe days) to cut-and-try. I
don't think you gain that much unless you are hunting those
very-down-in-the-noise stations.
I don't know what cable you are using but I hope is some low loss type.

Chasing the elusive 1:1 with your set-up as described is not necessary will
make your hair turn grey or white and need a Common Mode Choke.
