Putting the plugs on the floor is a dangerous practice unless the cables
come through a single point ground panel first. Without first grounding
the braids you are repeating Ben Franklin's experiment. IOW, that cable
is attached to an antenna, Better ti connect those connectors to a
frounded panel/
