I switched to all N type, solder fee, clamp connectors.
They go on with two wrenches.
And I use N-to-UHF adapters were I couldn't swap out in N females from
UHF females in devices.
I hate those UHF things. I bought a sack of like 50 of these to get the
bulk discount.

Bob, it was my skill, or rather the lack there of that caused me to
quit reusing connectors. I too, have had the center pin pull out, I
even trashed Phenolic Insulators (before Teflon) and boy, that stuff
really stinks!

If a mistake can be made, I've probably done it<sigh>
I'm probably done making them at 100 feet though.
