Placing the 40M dipole parallel with the boom is the best approach if you can get it up 6 or 7 feet above the TH-11. Otherwise you can try to load the boom on 40 meters. You attach the shield to the center of the boom and then tap the center conductor out on the boom by using a gamma rod.
