In 1996, at CY0AA, Sable Island, we were fortunate enough to be loaned the BattleCreek Special. IIRC, all the guys were 4' chunks of rebar and/or L channel steel we pounded into the SAND (100% sand, no soil, rock, etc._) It was never super windy while we were there, but winds were often 15-20knots (how many wmp that is, I don't know) It never fell over !
