You can use an F connectors at the ends of the cable, attach it to a chassis F
at the end you wand to short and a F-to-PL259 at the other end. Just don't try
to solder, it doesn't work as, usually the shield is a combination of Al foil
and a stainless steel braid. I purchased a bag of (50) F connectors and at
mounting tool at Lowes recently for a bargain price. (I think they are phasing
out the product).

Subject: [TowerTalk] Fw: Coax Stubs...
Hi,
It is near of topic here...maybe someone can help.
I have few meters of RG-6 coax cable...about 100 m.
We need Coax Stubs for our contest station...we are planning work in next ARRL
CW in Feb.
Our Max Power is 500 watts.
I have all information about K2TR coax stubs designs.
I am worry about my RG-6 cable...the braid is Aluminum (Al) instead of Cooper
(Cu), so, i can´t solder the braid. I think the solution is an adapter to make
a good contact with the shield side of the PL-259...
Any tips or ideas?
Thanks,
73....Douglas, CO8DM
