If your crankup does not have a pull down cable (typical for those shipped with
a manual boat winch), be *very* careful running it down with a motorized winch.
If the sections pinch due to wind loading, the lift cable will go slack. When
the wind lets up you can guess what will happen. Hopefully the cable won’t
separate but the noise will really get your attention. If the cable lets go:
duck. And plan on some repairs.
