Exactly.
I think the report was designed to help the average Ham make a buying decision
because the ARRL decided to cut bait rather than fish when it come to antenna
reviews. It's not about helping Mosley fix their product.
A balanced feed point fed with unbalamced line needs a choke or 1:1 balun or
you get feedline radiation and screwed up pattern from common mode current on
the coax shield.
Isotron made a pretty good dummy load they sold as an antenna. Even it had a
choke. Did Mosely forget this stuff or just hope nobody would notice?
