I should add that my HDBX48 has been loaded to about 13 sq ft for nearly the
entire time I've owned it. Early on I also put an anemometer and wind vane on
it but not at the very top. The highest measured wind I've measured from that
anemometer is 86 MPH.

The key is in the base - build it exactly to Rohn Base and make sure you use
the Rohn buried base section.
Its not trivial to left those first couple of sections. And its not climber
friendly - but you get over it after buying the new bots you will certainly
buy.
I would have zero concerns about that set up now - assuming the specs of the
tower haven't changed. The sq ft on that was probably about 6 sq ft. And
it was NEVER challenged despite a hurricane and a number of blizzards. In
open space.
