How about that! I try to keep a spray can of BoeShield on the shelf in my
shop but never knew it was good for antennas and the like. I buy it due to
a recommendation for using it on such items as cast iron table saw tables,
router tables, planer and joiner tables and such. I will definitely give it
a whorl in the ham radio arena as soon as I get a chance.

Caution using acetic acid (vinegar smell) based sealants for this or any
other metal projects. There are others that work well (discussed in an
earlier thread.) I prefer a light removable coating compound such as LPS-50
or BoeShield T9 - things designed to prevent METAL, not seal windows. I had
a vertical up 20 feet from a salt water canal for 5 years - it came apart
as if it were new with BoeShield.

But another important reason we omitted is: You don't always get to do a
rotor replacement during ideal weather.
We wouldn't do this now, but back in the day, we once replaced a rotor in
15 deg weather when some Rare_One
we needed was going to be on that day. Also, the pile-up won't wait while
