On the CrTech Broadcast List it is lovingly called Faron's Oscillator. Many
years ago, Faron set his vacation reminder to reply to all received emails
and when the list repeats started coming in you can imagine what happened.
I don't recall Faron's last name and he isn't active on the CrTech list but
his name lives on in legend.
On a list where there was normally 30 or 40 posts per day, with Faron's
Oscillator running there were thousands of posts when a post hit his InBox
and was automatically replied to and then the automatic reply was reflected
and then replied to and ....
Modern reflector software generally filters this kind of thing but it came
about from early classic fails.
