Not sure what voltage you need at your bees (probably 115 VAC) but you might
want to consider doing the following:
1. Get a step down transformer 115 VAC to 24 VAC.
Buy 100 meters of direct burial landscap lighting wire (looks like regular
heavy duty lamp
cord but very tough and designed for low voltage). No conduit needed.
At the hive end use another 115 VAC to 24 VAC transformer (connected
backward) to boost voltage back to
115 VAC for your fence charger.
The 115 to 24 volt transformers can be obtained relatively cheaply on eBay.
Not sure how price of wire will compare to irrigation pipe
Good luck keeping the bears out of your honey ;-)
email me off reflector if you need tech support.

I am not sure how big your irrigation tube is. What I have done several
times in the past is tie a small plastic bag to a length of small dia.
Dacron rope. Put the plastic bag in one end of the pipe. Make sure you
tie
off the far end of the line (long enough to reach the far end of the
pipe).
Place shop vac or some other strong vacuum machine at the far end of the
pipe. Turn on the vacuum and wait about 5 or ten seconds and the plastic
bag will be in the vacuum hose. Works real slick. I would suggest when
you
pull your wire through you attach a length of Dacron to it so you can pull
something else through at a later date. The vacuum/bag method may not
work
as well with a wire already in the pipe.
Good luck,

Subject: [TowerTalk] irrigation tube as conduit
Greetings.
I would like to run a wire underground through irrigation tubing for 100
meters - down to an electrical fence that surrounds my honey bee colonies.
I have a question about what you ran through the tubing to then pull your
wires through. And - is there any trick to unrolling the tubing so it
does
not develop any kinks? Thanks for any help you can provide!
