Subject: Re: [TowerTalk] Crank-Up Tower - Tilt Over Winch
I recently bought a used Tash tower LM470 and tilt fixture. It uses a
Fulton K1550 winch. I also helped take down a US Tower 70ft and it used a
Fulton K2550.The 2550 is rated at more than the 1550 and I am considering
replacing the 1550 with the 2550.
Both worked fine but the 1550 seemed to be not as steady.
Its kind of scary when the tower load is on the winch. I think everyone
could see what would happen if it failed.

Subject: [TowerTalk] Crank-Up Tower - Tilt Over Winch
My friend is installing a tilt over fixture for his HyGain HG-70D crank-up
tower. He is looking for a winch for the device, one that has the' grit' to
handle the weight of course but also with the 'brake' or latch that will
prevent it from getting away from him when he tries to lower it. I have seen
these on some other crank-ups before but never paid much attention to the
brand, etc. Surely there are many with this or similar brank towers with
tilt over devices out there, so perhaps someone could advise us on this.
Thanks in advance. - Mike
