I've used the Palstar AT5K tuner in the shack successfully with the legal limit and no RF in the shack. Although probably not the best arrangement it's convenient. It's probably better than you think. Loss in decent coax is minimal at 2 MHz unless it's a VERY long line, even with 4:1 SWR off resonance.
