the birds get used to it and start to ignore it.
I considered a 12 gauge, but my wife vetoed that idea.
It can be hard on the elements too. <:-)) Like the plastic ornament,
they will quickly get used to it. Actually, faster. You can blow a bunch
of them away and they'll be back as soon as you go in the house.
